Yearly accidents on a road have distribution \(\operatorname{Po}(m)\). Previously \(m=3.3\). After a new speed limit, the council tests whether \(m\) has decreased, using the total \(X\) over two randomly chosen years and a 5% significance level.
(a) Calculate the probability of a Type I error. [4]
(b) Given \(X=2\), carry out the test. [3]
(c) A similar test uses two different years and the same hypotheses. Given that the true value of \(m\) is 0.6, calculate the probability of a Type II error. [3]
(d) Using \(m=0.6\) and a suitable approximating distribution, find the probability of more than 10 accidents in 30 years. [4]
