Year 7 - Q3.1.10
20396

Start with \(6.48\). Use each operation exactly once, in any order: multiply by \(10\), divide by \(10\), multiply by \(100\), divide by \(100\). What final result is inevitable? What are the greatest and smallest values that can appear during the calculation? Give orders achieving both extremes.

Hint

Combine the two upward shifts and the two downward shifts. Intermediate values depend on which operations have occurred so far.
