20385

An integer \(n\) satisfies \(n\gt a\) and \(n\lt b\). Its possible values are exactly \(-2,-1,0,1,2\). Find \(a,b\) if both are integers. Would the boundaries be unique if non-integer values were allowed? Give evidence.

Hint

Place integer boundaries immediately outside the smallest and largest permitted integers.
