Expand \((1 + x) \sqrt{(1 - 2x)}\) in ascending powers of \(x\), up to and including the term in \(x^2\), simplifying the coefficients.
Solution
To expand \((1 + x) \sqrt{(1 - 2x)}\), we first expand \(\sqrt{(1 - 2x)}\) using the binomial series for \((1 + u)^n\) where \(n = \frac{1}{2}\) and \(u = -2x\).
