A line of \(n\) identical tables has \(4\) chairs beside each table and \(2\) extra chairs, one at each end of the line. Explain why the chair count is \(4n+2\), not \(6n\). When do these expressions give the same count?

Hint

Decide which chairs are repeated with every table and which occur only once for the entire line.
